3. International Trade in the State of West Virginia

As reported by World Institute for Strategic Economic Research at Holyoke Community College, Massachusetts
Source: http://www.wisertrade.org, data from U.S. Census Bureau, Foreign Trade Division

EXPORTS FROM THE STATE OF WEST VIRGINIA

The following powerpoint contains information about exports that have an origin in Arkansas. These slides contain information on exports from the State based on the Origin of Shipment. The slides contain information on both trading partners, commodities and gateways used by the Virginia firms. All figures are expressed in dollars. (The black background indicates this is a state of origin slide.)

As the origin of shipment information is used to estimate exports by State firms, it may lead to inland states seeing less reported exports than one would expect, and larger volume of exports in gateway states. This reflects the location of the exporter, and not the source of production.
