The Freight in the Southeast Meeting was held in Tampa Florida, March 3-6, 2014. This annual meeting focuses on how changing freight operations are shaping the region's transportation system. The conference is open to anyone with an interest in regional freight corridors, multimodal freight development, and transportation-related economic development. This includes transportation companies, consultants, academia, logistics personnel, economic development organizations, government officials (federal, state, local, and elected), and metropolitan/regional planning organizations. A number of tours (Publix, CSX, Tampa Port Authority and the Tampa Airport) are also provided to allow participants to gain additional insights into the transportation system.

FREIGHT IN THE SOUTHEAST 2022
August 29-31, 2022 - Biloxi, Mississippi
The 2022 conference was held in conjunction the SASHTO Conference with Mississippi serving as the host state. ITTS coordinated the development of the multimodal sessions to accompany other SASHTO sessions which spanned transportation topics on maintenance, construction, finance, and human resources. The conference highlighted the current environment impacting transportation within the region influenced by impacts from the pandemic and also looked at future trends in transportation technology.
The multimodal sessions showcased current ITTS studies and focused on the supply chain impacts to the freight economy and movement in the southeast region. The conference provided an opportunity for networking with transportation officials from numerous trades in the transportation field. The annual ITTS business meeting was held at the end of the conference.
