The Freight in the Southeast Meeting was held in Tampa Florida, March 3-6, 2014. This annual meeting focuses on how changing freight operations are shaping the region's transportation system. The conference is open to anyone with an interest in regional freight corridors, multimodal freight development, and transportation-related economic development. FREIGHT IN THE SOUTHEAST 2023
September 5-7, 2023 - Cincinnati, Ohio
The 2023 conference was held in conjunction with the OKI Conference on Freight with OKI as the lead for the conference planning and execution. The conference was also coordinated with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Ohio DOT, and MAFC. The conference focused on innovative solutions to address some of the most pressing issues currently facing the freight industry including freight rail safety, supply chain resiliency, and efficient/sustainable freight delivery.
The ITTS sessions highlighted the current regional freight study and included an interactive workshop on the SWOT analysis of the region. Member states also had an opportunity to present on their state efforts. The conference provided an opportunity for networking with member states along with states from other regions and industry representatives in the transportation field. The annual ITTS business meeting was held during the conference.
